Do you have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage conflict and experience working with families, professionals and colleagues? then the Family Group Conference Coordinator could be the role for you!

The Family Group Conference Coordinator role includes contacting parents, carers, children and wider family members to organise Family Group Conferences and draw up and review Family Plans. The Coordinator will also be required to work with young people undertaking Life Long Links which aims to ensure that a young person in foster care has a positive support network around them to help them maintain relationships during their time in care. This role is likely to require the Coordinator to travel outside of East Sussex.

The Family Group Conference team is part of our wider social work service to children,  and is a crucial part of our strategy to ensure that vulnerable children are supported to remain in the care of their families, safely.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, experience of working with families, and a commitment to building strengths in families, to join our well-established Family Group Conference team. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
