We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Business Administrator to provide support to Education Division Assessment and Planning team. We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to championing change for children.

Do you have experience in administration with a range of systems? Are you a good communicator, someone who can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Our Senior Business Administrators / Business Administrators play a vital role in supporting the Council - helping us provide a better service to the people of East Sussex. It’s fast-paced and varied, but we’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need to succeed.

The successful candidate will work in our Children's Services Department providing high level administrative support to our Assessment and Planning Team who support children and young people with Special Educational Needs, and their families, in East Sussex. You will need great organisational skills, accurate minute taking skills, have the ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and MS Office skills and a desire to make a difference to the families we work with.

Interviews are scheduled for Monday 4 March 2024 and will be in the form of a face-to-face interview, followed by a task. This will be in County Hall, Lewes. (If you are not able to make this date please reference this in your application).

You will be working at County Hall; the Head Office for the County Council, based on the edge of Lewes Town Centre, which is within walking distance to the town and train station. County Hall is also on a bus route and car parking is available on site at a reduced rate for employees.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
