Do you have great administrative skills? Are you seeking a flexible workplace? Would you like to support work that benefits climate, nature, people, and place in one of the country’s largest nationally protected landscapes?
We have an exciting opportunity for an administrator to help us run two high profile grant programmes for farmers, land managers and communities based in and around the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
As Senior Administrator you will be responsible for developing administrative systems; processing grant applications, reports and financial claims; collating and presenting monitoring data and setting up and supporting grant panel meetings. Your role will be to ensure that grant applicants and grantees have an excellent experience of the grant programmes and that the administrative and financial requirements of funding bodies are met.
We are looking for candidates with an ability to organise, analyse and process financial and other information. Ideally you will be able to work with a wide range of potential grant applicants, helping them navigate the grant system as required. Critically you will have an ability to be methodical and pay attention to detail. An interest in farming and land management would be an advantage. For full time applicants there will be an opportunity for career development through the East Sussex County Council apprenticeship programme.
The High Weald AONB extends across 1,461 square kilometres at the heart of the South East, covering parts of Kent, East Sussex, and West Sussex. It is one of the best surviving, medieval landscapes in Northern Europe.
You will be working for the High Weald AONB Partnership which is hosted by East Sussex County Council who are therefore the employer for this role. You will be based within the small, friendly, and dynamic High Weald AONB team. Our innovative office is located at Flimwell on the Kent/Sussex border and we operate a hybrid working model. We recruit flexibly and will consider part time and term-time working.
East Sussex County Council offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.
