East Sussex County Council are recruiting Casual Bilingual Support Officers to work with the English as an Additional Language Service, supporting pupils in the classroom and delivering translation and interpreting services to schools and other ESCC services.

We are looking for applicants who must have a GCSE or equivalent in English and their own language and have, or be willing to study for, Community Interpreting Level 3.

All applications will be subject to a DBS check.

Salary - approximately £13.48 per hour.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
