Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

Teaching Assistant Scale 3 – 32.5hrs

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is passionate about working with Early Years children.

Holy Cross Church of England Primary School is a small, Church of England Voluntary Aided School for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 with real ambition. The school is situated in the heart of Uckfield and has one of the most appealing environments in the local area with lush fields, a huge Forest school and extensive grounds.

The Early Years and Child Care Hub

There is a real sense of renewal in the school and we have a great team of staff and Governors who strive to provide the very best for all our pupils.

You will be an experienced or aspiring individual who wishes to specialise in our Early Years and Child Care Hub. You will join our mixed Reception and Year 1 team.

This is an exciting time for our school as we are due to transfer into our newly refurbished classroom in January 2023 as part of our developing partnership with Newton Lang who provide Nursery (Little Fireflies) for 2 to 4 year-olds, before and after school club, holiday club - all open up to 50 weeks a year.

Together we are committed to the exciting Curiosity Approach, which we are really excited about – we are looking for someone who wants to make a difference.
