Teaching Assistant - Shinewater Primary School

12 month Fixed term until 31st August 2023 

Term time plus 5 staff development days.

30 hours a week, 8:45 am to 3:15 pm Monday to Friday.

Salary: £13,076 pro rata (£18,751 FTE) SAT 3
(Salary is pro rata to reflect that the hours per week and term time position).

Due to extra funding we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our team as a Teaching Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be working in Key Stage 2, with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to children and staff under the direction of the classroom teacher.

You will either work with individuals or small groups, supporting children to understand instructions and independent learning, helping to provide inclusion for all children.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a good standard of education;
  • Have excellent knowledge of positive behaviour strategies;
  • Be able to work within a team;
  • Enjoy working in a school where the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.
