This advert is for an Operations Manager who will cover Acute and Community Hospital Discharge Services for out of county, Continuing Health Care and Neighbourhood Support Team (Assessment and Care Management Services for Older People and Adults with Physical disabilities in the High Weald, Lewes and Havens areas)

We are looking for:

An experienced manager who have extensive knowledge of working in Adult Social Care, particularly frontline services.  Ideally you will be a Team / Practice Manager who is looking for the next opportunity to further your career. The Operations Manager role is a critical role in the service area, you will conduct monthly audits and appraisals of your teams and be able to deputise for the Head of Service as required. 

You will line manage Practice Managers and an Office Manager and be responsible for a large workforce of frontline practitioners and business support staff. Delivering on Key Performance Indicators and being able to support the development of a performance culture that has a high level of accountability and transparency.

About you:

You will have demonstrable experience in managing the complexities of a frontline social care workforce including effective risk management, safeguarding adults from risk and/or harm and being able to discharge the Council’s statutory duties in respect of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity 2005, Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act 2000.

As a confident and capable manager you will have a high degree of emotional intelligence as well diplomacy and integrity to support the delivery of frontline services.  You will be experienced in dealing with conflict management and using a wide range of skills and personal attributes to establish a resolution to achieve the desired outcomes. As both jobs will work closely with the NHS, evidence of partnership working is highly desirable.

As part of the Council’s “Back Together Again” we are operating a Hybrid Working Arrangement, it is anticipated that the post holder will spend a minimum of working one day a week from an office location.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
