Team Leader - Direct Payment Team - ASC Financial Services

We are pleased to be able to offer the exciting opportunity for a permanent Team Leader for The Direct Payment Team within Adult Social Care Financial Services.

You will be responsible for leading, supporting and developing the intake division of the Direct Payment Team. in close collaboration with the Team Manager and wider leadership and management team.

This is a fast paced and developing service with high standards and aspirations to deliver a gold standard service to our customers. You will be expected to provide inspirational leadership and management of your team and ensure the service delivers safe and effective high-quality financial care and support. You will support with some financial aspects, including payment processes and you will need to be able to analyse financial information and statistics.

You will either be an existing Team Leader/Manager or looking to develop the next stage of your career having gained some experience of supervising staff. You will be joining a supportive team who are passionate about the service they deliver. 

We support people who are particularly vulnerable due to their care and support needs, so you need to be empathetic.

Due to the nature of the role, and the current home working arrangements, it is important that you are organised, self-motivated, pro-active, and collaborative.

You will need knowledge of working with computers including Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. You will work on several bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training and ongoing support.

You will also Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or be able to pass a competency test.

If you are successful you will benefit from ESCC’s excellent standards of support and supervision.

COVID-19 update: Please note that East Sussex County Council is currently following Government’s advice on enabling staff to work from home if it is safe and practical to do so. Therefore, this role will be delivered remotely in an Agile way to begin with until the Council makes any changes to these working arrangements.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
