Good neighbour schemes
Are you interested in volunteering in your local community?
Good Neighbour Schemes are independently run groups of volunteers providing support in their local community. They offer an opportunity for you to give practical support to people in your local area who need a helping hand.
Volunteers help with some of the small things that can make all the difference, such as:
- transport to medical appointments
- shopping and errands
- putting out the bins
- collecting prescriptions
- helping with computers
- helping with paperwork and form filling
- visiting for a chat or cup of tea, and
- anything else that one neighbour might do for another
