Safeguarding children in East Sussex
Safeguarding children is about making sure they are safe and protected. There are laws, like the Children and Social Work Act 2017 (gov.uk), that tell services how to protect children.
The East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) sets out how the police, health services, and the local government will keep children safe. You can find more information on their website.
The Pan Sussex Child Protection and Safeguarding Procedures Manual explains how to keep children safe.
