Finding childcare

You can look for childcare using our online directory called ESCIS. This stands for the East Sussex Community Information Service. ESCIS has its own website.

To make ESCIS work best for you, use the search filters. In the 'What are you looking for' search box, type the kind of childcare you need. For example:

  • nurseries
  • childminders
  • playgroups
  • wraparound care (before and after school clubs)
  • holiday clubs
  •  nannies

Then filter by distance. ESCIS works well when you give it a postcode.

ESCIS explainer video

ESCIS has made a video called How to search in ESCIS. This video can help you find what you are looking for.
