Rural Business Grants Programme

Rother and Wealden Rural Business Grants Programme 

The Rural Business Grants Programme offers grants to rural SME businesses in the Rother and Wealden district areas. This offer does not include Bexhill, Polegate and Stonecross. 

Businesses can apply for grants of up to 50% of the cost of capital projects. The programme will be divided between two separate pots of funding: 

  • Small Grants - Grants from £2,500 up to £15,000
  • Large Grants - Grants from £15,00 up to £50,000. 

Capital projects could include new equipment, machinery, commercial vehicles, farm diversification and property adaptations. 

The programme is part of the Rural Prosperity Fund and is funded by Rother District Council, Wealden District Council, and HM Government. It is delivered by East Sussex County Council.
