Learning to play the piano
East Sussex Community Choir for adults
This is a relaxed adult choir of about 70 members, for all abilities. It is conducted by an experienced choral specialist. You'll have the chance to perform classical pieces in public three or four times a year.
You do not need to know how to read music to join. Sheet music is provided although sometimes you may have to buy your own copy. No audition is required to join.
The choir meets during term time every Monday, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, at the Performing Arts Centre in Lewes.

Withdrawing from lessons
To withdraw from the choir, you must inform us by the dates below to avoid paying a £10 administration fee:
- 1 December – for withdrawal at the end of term 2
- 1 March – for withdrawal at the end of term 4
- 1 July – for withdrawal at the end of term 6.
Lewes Community Samba Band
The Lewes Community Samba Band is open to all adults aged 18 and over. No previous experience is needed. You'll have expert tuition in a fun and supportive environment, and be part of a positive and lively fixture on the Lewes community scene.
Our tutors have many years of experience running similar groups elsewhere, and the band is part of the East Sussex Music Service's Lifelong Learning Scheme.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm during school term time, at the Performing Arts Centre, Mountfield Road, Lewes.
