Contact Support with Confidence

Latest

We want to know what you think about the plans to close the Support with Confidence scheme, and about what support we might provide instead.

All scheme activity will remain paused while we consult on what happens next, although the online directory is still available.

The Support with Confidence scheme ensures all members are committed to the highest level of quality, safety and training. Once approved, providers are monitored to ensure consistent quality.

Complaints

If you need to make a complaint about a Support With Confidence member, please contact the member in the first instance, to discuss your complaint and try to resolve the issue.

If this is not possible and the member is a Care Quality Commission registered provider, please contact the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman.

To find out if the Support With Confidence member is registered with the Care Quality Commission, you can search the Care Quality Commission website.

If the member is not registered with the Care Quality Commission, contact Citizens Advice for further support.

If you need to raise a safeguarding concern about a member, please contact Health and Social Care Connect:

Complaints which involve your personal safety

These complaints will be investigated as a matter of urgency by Adult Social Care.

In the event of a serious breach of the code of conduct or where concerns have been raised under the Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures, the member may be removed from the website with immediate effect and suspended from the scheme pending investigation.

If there is sufficient evidence to support the complaint, we will permanently remove the provider from the scheme.
