Prioritising Transport Schemes and Initiatives

A timetable of planned works is created after funding is approved. Schemes are prioritised through an appraisal process. We consider schemes that will best contribute to our Local Transport Plan targets:

• Delivering sustainable economic growth
• Best value for money

Scheduling of works is also affected by:

• The design process
• Development contributions funding
• Available grant funding

The programme is approved in March each year by the Lead Member for Economy, Transport and Environment.
