Coronavirus - how East Sussex County Council staff are working

As the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continue to rise, we are taking all possible steps to keep the public and staff safe while maintaining essential services that residents rely on.

We have suspended all council meetings until further notice and the vast majority of our staff are working from home.

Staff delivering critical frontline services, such as our dedicated care staff, are continuing to carry out visits and offer support to the most vulnerable residents in our county, while taking every precaution to ensure the safety of residents and those staff.

At this time, it is important that our emergency services and drivers delivering the essentials to homes across East Sussex can keep moving as safely as possible. Therefore, some of our staff and contractors continue to work on roads and footpaths, and manage parking but only when they are sure they can work at a safe distance from one another and from members of the public.

We are keeping residents up to date with any changes to services on the Disruptions page on our website and on social media.
