The ongoing national lockdown means that all of the county’s library buildings will be closed for general use from Thursday 5 November.

However, from Monday 9 November, customers will be able to order books and pick them up from the front entrance of their local library.

Those needing to use library computers to access essential services such as universal credit and Internet banking, will be able to do so from Monday by pre booking a session on 0345 60 80 196 or via our online form.

For more information please visit the Lockdown Response page or contact us directly.

East Sussex Libraries will be moving our digital ebooks and audiobooks from RBdigital to the Libby app as part of our OverDrive collection on 9 November 2020. You will continue to be able to browse, borrow, and enjoy all the same great ebooks and audiobooks you loved in the RBdigital app, now available in Libby.

Transition from RBdigital

If you currently have a book checked out in the RBdigital app, it will be available through the remainder of the lending period, so you can finish your title without disruption or risk of losing your place in the book. Holds will not be moved, but you may export your Transaction History from the RBdigital websites by accessing My Account > Profiles. You can place holds on those titles again in Libby.

Once you’ve finished your current books, please uninstall the RBDigital App and use the instructions below to install Libby.

Some customers may find they need to reactivate their library cards in order to use Libby. To do this please call us on 0345 80 60 196 or fill out a contact us online form.
