What you can borrow and what's new

Following the UK government’s decision to ask public venues to shut, we have decided to close all East Sussex County Council libraries from Monday 23 March until further notice.

All library loans will be extended until at least 30 June. We have waived overdue fees for items due to be returned after 9 March 2020 until further notice.

Our online library will operate as normal and we have increased the number of items available. Our online library includes not just books but also audiobooks, magazines and reference material.

We look forward to welcoming customers back when the situation eases.

All books including eBooks are free to borrow or download, and you can hire DVDs and music CDs for a small charge.

Also free to download are eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers.

You can reserve and renew items online with your library card and PIN, and collect them from your local library.
