Our vision, "Let Your Light Shine," is at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a passionate Class Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2025 on a fixed term basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
- Monitor, assess, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of pupils, using assessment data to inform future planning.
- Implement adaptive practice to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and those eligible for Pupil Premium.
- Promote a safe and positive learning environment by managing pupil behaviour effectively and maintaining good order in the classroom.
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in the school’s appraisal procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to support curriculum development and pupil progress.
- Maintain effective communication with pupils, parents, and carers, fostering positive relationships within the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- While experience is valued, this role is particularly suited for Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
