The Year Leader role is a key leadership position within our pastoral team, responsible for ensuring the high achievement, welfare and personal development of students in a designated year group. This is a rewarding role for a highly motivated and passionate individual who wants to make a significant impact on students' lives.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have the ability to teach Maths, Science or PE as this would complement our curriculum and contribute to the wider success of our school.
As Year Leader, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership for your designated year group, ensuring students develop academically and personally.
- Oversee and implement pastoral initiatives that support student welfare, behaviour, attendance and engagement.
- Work closely with staff, students and parents to create a culture of high expectations and achievement.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions to support those who need additional guidance.
- Lead and manage an Assistant Year Leader and tutor team, ensuring high-quality provision during tutor time.
- Collaborate with Curriculum Leaders to support student progress across all subjects.
- Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and whole-school initiatives.
