All Saints are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed TA to work 1:1 with a wonderful KS2 pupil with an EHCP in our mainstream class.  This is for a fixed period of 12 months in line with agreed funding but there is the possibility that this might be extended.  

The successful candidate would ideally have:

  • A recognised child care qualification at Level 2 or above
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • Experience of working with children who have experienced trauma

However, the main characteristics we are looking for are candidates who are patient, kind and empathetic towards children with special needs.  Everything else can be taught but the desire to support our most vulnerable children is something candidates will demonstrate.

All Saints CE Primary School is a one-form entry primary school situated in Sidley, Bexhill. We have up to 300 children who are organized into single age classes including our thriving Nursery and Specialist SEND facility.

You will be part of the wider school team at All Saints C.E. Primary School and will benefit from a range of training and development opportunities.  You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to ensure a safe, stimulating and caring environment for the pupil you are supporting.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.15pm with 60 minutes unpaid daily lunch break, Term Time Only.

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
