Are you a qualified Social Worker?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time qualified social worker to join the Eastbourne and South Wealden Neighbourhood support team based at St Marys House, Eastbourne.

You will be part of an established, dynamic and busy team, and will be creative in your approach to the needs of our community and build on peoples’ assets with a strength based approach.

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of Safeguarding experience and an ability to work independently and part of a team. You should have in depth experience of risk assessment, complex case management work, and have a good knowledge base and understanding of completing assessments under the Care Act 2014 and working within the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

This is a fast paced, exciting role, for a practitioner who can manage change effectively and demonstrate your ability to be resilient under pressure.

You will need to be confident and competent in assessing risk, identifying appropriate need and have experience of providing social care/ multidisciplinary interventions. The ability to work effectively in a team, commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills are essential.

It’s a challenging role - but there’s no shortage of rewards. In return, we offer development opportunities to undertake further training and work within a supportive team environment.  This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your practice during regular supervision, Peer Reflective sessions, and Practice Development workshops.  We offer a hybrid way of working.
