Are you organised and ready to make a difference in people’s lives? Are you passionate about social care and supporting staff to achieve high standards? Do you thrive on challenge? Can you build strong relationships with others? If the answer is yes, then we would welcome your application.
The Countywide Reviewing Team completes scheduled reviews for adults in receipt of services under the Care Act 2014. As a Practice Manager you will lead and support a well-established Team of hard working, friendly, committed and professional Social Workers and Resource Officers to ensure reviews are completed in a person-centred and timely manner to a good standard encompassing social work values.
Alongside this you will act as a main member, and operational lead, for a variety of key projects in the Council, many of which are time sensitive and require diplomatic and clear communication skills. This will give you the opportunity to expand your professional networks and knowledge as you work alongside colleagues in Operations, Planning, Commissioning and Performance alongside partner agencies. This role would be suitable for someone stepping into social care management for the first time or an experienced manager who wishes to expand their repertoire.
We regard our staff as our greatest asset, and whether you’re already a manager, or looking to advance we’ll support your journey with structured development opportunities.
We are looking for candidates who:

- Are organised, self-motivated and flexible to meet the needs of those that you and your team are supporting.
- Have communication and written skills
- Have experience of working to Adult Social Care legislation including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
We ensure our staff have the tools and support they need to flourish, these include: -
- A comprehensive range of training opportunities and professional development through professional supervision and mentoring.
- flexible working practices supported by the latest technology.
- Hybrid working offer (mixture of home working and office – office base can be Eastbourne or Hastings)
Working hours Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
