Salary: Single Status Grade 5 point 12 to 13: £25,183 to £25,583 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Due to the continued growth of our successful college, we are recruiting a Site Operative to work across both our sites.
The successful applicant will be expected to cover the sites between the hours of 7am and 10pm in 7.5 hour rotating shifts, with half an hour lunch break. (E.g., Shift 1 – 7.00am to 3.00pm/shift 2 – 10.30am to 6.30pm/shift 3 – 2pm to 10pm, plus a possible split shift (7.00am – 10.00am and 3.00pm and 7.30pm).
We are looking for a cheerful, motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to work alongside the existing site team to provide an efficient and proactive caretaking service for our split site campus. You will be required to work across both trust sites in Hailsham. Part-time applicants will be considered.
The successful candidate will carry out a full range of duties to provide high standards of cleanliness, general caretaking and security including opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance/repairs and waste management.
Normal working days will be Monday to Friday however you must be willing to work unsociable hours’ evenings and weekends and be available respond to various out of hours emergencies such as intruder alarm activations.
The role will include health and safety checks of the premises and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake relevant training. Previous experience of working as a caretaker in a school would be desirable.
