The Haven CE Methodist Primary School is seeking an inspirational and dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team. This unique opportunity allows you to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school while collaborating closely with our Headteacher to ensure that our vision and values remain at the heart of everything we do.
Located in Eastbourne, The Haven is a two-form entry school that is much loved and highly regarded by pupils, staff, parents, carers, and the local community. As part of the successful Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust, we were rated 'Good' by OFSTED in November 2018. At The Haven, our team of highly motivated and experienced educators are committed to providing pupils with invigorating and stimulating educational, social, and moral experiences that they will cherish for a lifetime.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will take a major role in formulating the aims and objectives of the school, establishing policies to achieve these aims, managing staff and resources, and monitoring progress towards our goals. This is a non-teaching role, allowing you to focus on strategic leadership and development.
In addition to the job description and person specification, we are seeking an experienced leader who is:
- Passionate about working with children and dedicated to making a positive impact every day.
- A team player who builds strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors, and the wider community.
- Capable of managing a diverse range of daily and weekly tasks while remaining committed to achieving our long-term objectives.
- An experienced professional with a demonstrated history of achieving excellent pupil outcomes.
- Eager to embark on a rewarding and challenging journey with us.
- A reflective communicator who listens to all stakeholders and excels at problem-solving.
- Able to lead key areas of school improvement and implement strategies that drive the school forward.
We can offer you:
- A supportive and collaborative leadership team.
- Opportunities for professional development and growth both in the school and across DCAT
- A vibrant school community committed to nurturing every pupil’s potential.
- Pupils with excellent behaviour and overall wellbeing, who are proud of their school
How to apply:
