The East Sussex Fire Authority is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults, children and young people. Would you be able to assist in the ongoing coordination of safeguarding concerns within our community.

There is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, confident individual who is capable of working independently and providing high-level administrative/coordinator support to assist the Prevention Department in delivering its Thematic Plans/Annual Assessment of Risk and Safeguarding requirements.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively with the members of public and Fire Service personnel, as well as possess excellent attention to detail. It would be advantageous to have prior experience with child or adult safeguarding protocols. You will be accountable for the coordination of safeguarding referrals (both child and adult) and the coordination of responses from multi-agency conferences.

In addition to undertaking a variety of administrative responsibilities, you will be expected to supervise the work activities of specified administrative staff, maintain electronic systems/ diaries and work to tight deadlines. Additionally, you will liaise with Fire Service Station Personnel and other Departments on a regular basis.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have knowledge or experience of working with vulnerable groups, whilst possess the ability to demonstrate tact, patience and courtesy. The position would be well-suited for an individual with a background in Safeguarding.

Appropriate training would be provided.

The successful candidate for this role will need to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
