We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant within our Early Years class. The working hours for this role are 8.45 - 15.10 Monday and Friday.

The successful applicant must have good communication skills and behaviour management skills and work well as part of a flexible team. They will be responsible for supporting children with additional needs. They must be enthusiastic, organised, patient and compassionate. We are looking for a candidate with experience of working within the Early Years sector.

Being a Learning Support Assistant in our school can include:

  • Working individually with students who require additional support
  • Assessing, monitoring and giving feedback to students, offering encouragement and motivation to succeed
  • Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom as well as accompanying them on educational visits
  • Being in class supporting the students to make academic progress
  • Helping to facilitate inclusion and enable them to integrate with their peers
  • Attending meetings with parents, other professionals and a lead member of staff
  • Being actively involved in the sharing of good practice to ensure the student can access the full curriculum
