Start Date: January 2025
Hours of work: Annualised hours contract based on 12 hours per week. Salary equates to 10.35 hours per week over 52 weeks. (please note, during quieter periods you may not be required to work the contracted 12 hours, where this is the case, the hours will be banked and used during busier times, pay remains unaffected.) This is a term time only position, actual salary £6,787.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hurst Green Church of England School and Nursery. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible, energetic and adaptable Nursery Practitioner with a Level 3 qualification in childcare to join our school nursery. Little Acorns Nursery caters for children aged between 2 and 4 years old and opens term time only between 8.50-3pm.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, monitoring, evaluation and development of the nursery, as well as working in close partnerships with parent.
We are looking for a someone with:
- A good understanding of the Early Learning Goals.
- How children learn and develop between the ages and 2 and 4 year old.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage their own workload and work on their own initiative.
- The skills to support children's speech and language development, personal and social development, literacy and numeracy.
- High personal standards, a caring nature, a sense of humour and the energy and dedication to bring their very best to our school nursery.
- Hold a level 3 diploma in Early Years Education and Child Care
