The Neighbourhood Support Team – Lewes & North Wealden have a Senior Practitioner vacancy. This Senior Practitioner position is a really important role within the team structure working with adults over the age of 18 years.
Ideally, you will hold a Practice Educator qualification and be able to support Social Workers who are in their first year of social work practice and are part of their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment Programme.
You will support the Practice Manager by bringing your experience and knowledge to the team to raise standards and sharing models and social work theory to support staff and benefit the people we serve as part of our critical frontline service.
In your role you will be part of the decision making for duty referrals, safeguarding triage and supporting staff to set clear terms of reference for enquiries, you will be expected to participate in rota for safeguarding in your working week. If you have development needs around safeguarding, a development plan will be devised to support you. In addition to this you will supervise a small number of practitioner staff.
