Leadership Pay Scale, Point 12
Required from January 2025, or sooner if available

Robertsbridge Community College is at an important stage of its improvement journey, following a challenging period for the school.  We are now entering an exciting time, as we work tirelessly to build upon recent improvements and take the school forward.

We are seeking to appoint a highly inspirational and motivational SENDCo who is committed and passionate about meeting the needs of our students so they can achieve their potential.

You will need to have a strong awareness of the relevant SEN legislation that underpins SEN within schools. Working as part of a wider team, you will promote inclusion of all students and their families within the school community to ensure progress and meaningful access to the curriculum, facilities and enrichment activities.  You will be expected to have a strong belief in the benefits of differentiation, raising pupil self-esteem, aspiration and attainment levels.  You will play a pivotal role in tracking and improving progress measures of vulnerable students.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, with experience of multi-agency working. You will work closely with our senior leadership team, supporting and liaising with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure identified student’s needs are met.

Robertsbridge Community College is a welcoming and inclusive 11-16 school situated within a thriving village in a beautiful part of East Sussex. Staff at Robertsbridge are passionate and committed to providing the best possible experience for our fantastic students. The school is going through a period of change and improvement as we work tirelessly to further develop our work in response to our latest Ofsted report.  Our intake is truly comprehensive, drawing from a large geographic area that includes both rural and urban environments. We cherish the diversity that this intake brings and believe that our young people can achieve great things.

You are more than welcome to come and see us prior to submitting your application.  Please contact Hanna Stedman, HR Manager, for further details.
