Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Full-time, Term-time only (working for 40 weeks per year plus 6.20 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Salary: Single Status Grade 9, Points 23 – 25 (£30,740 - £32,898) per annum, pro-rata
Robertsbridge Community College is at an important stage of its improvement journey, following a challenging period for the school. We are now entering an exciting time, as we work tirelessly to build upon recent improvements and take the school forward.
We are looking for a highly effective practitioner, passionate about unlocking barriers that prevent young people fulfilling their potential. This is a great opportunity to join our pastoral team and be part of something exciting.
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for a targeted caseload of the most vulnerable students, many of whom are at serious risk of permanent exclusion.
- Work with the student and the family, formulating actions plans to support the overall pastoral wellbeing of the students.
- Support the young person to improve their behaviour, helping them to develop resilience, make safe choices that protect their safeguarding, and improving attendance to school, improving student progress and outcomes.
- Be the lead professional in our new “Behaviour Support Plan” system. Providing support and guidance to the most vulnerable children who are identified as at serious and significant risk of permanent exclusion.
- Have a proven track record of effective work with young people and their families facing challenging circumstances.
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a ‘can do attitude’.
- Be able to absorb pressure and be resilient.
- Be an innovative, strategic thinker.
