The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. We are looking for a new Caretaker to look after us at our lovely school and nursery. This post involves opening up in the mornings, ensuring the school is clean, safe and looking it's best for our children and staff, alongside our school cleaner. We can offer a wonderful school community and staff team here at Icklesham CEP School and Nursery.
The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable, adaptable person who is friendly and can work well with staff and children, have good DIY skills and share our pride in our school. They will demonstrate an understanding of health and safety requirements and the ability to undertake cleaning, routine maintenance, basic repairs and DIY tasks, as well as pool caretaking for our outdoor pool. The pay grade allocated to this role is from Single Status Grade 4 Point 9 £23,114 fte to Single Status Grade 4 Point 10 £23,500 fte. Progression to Single Status Grade 5 could be available through professional development with additional responsibilites and roles being undertaken.
Hours of work are 20 hours per week, weekday mornings: 7am - 11am, 52 weeks per year. During term time these hours are required, however there is some flexibility during school holidays with the specific days and hours agreed annually in advance to meet the needs of the school.
