St Mary’s is a residential special school and college for pupils / students aged 5 to 19 with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties and other associated SEND.
We are seeking to recruit an IT support technician, from September 2024, to support the IT function, including technical, software and hardware support across the school site, in partnership with the Trust IT support provider.
Our IT support technician will be responsible for the upkeep and good order of IT hardware, development of staff knowledge and skill in using ICT resources, identifying and remedying software and hardware and network faults.
The technician will also undertake regular checks and perform basic maintenance on all school’s assets.
The IT support technician needs to have significant IT skills for the support and installation of computer hardware, network operating systems, software, printers and other peripheral equipment. They will be able to use their own initiative and resolve most faults independently.
The successful applicant will work 25 hrs per week, working pattern to be confirmed, during term time only.
