An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Adult Social Care to support the important and varied work of the East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) as SAB Support Coordinator.

Safeguarding adults is a key priority for East Sussex County Council and its partners. We are looking for a highly motivated person with excellent organisational and project management skills to support the East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board.

The post holder will have specific responsibility for coordinating East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board (ESSAB) activities connected to developing and improving practice across all partner agencies, including the voluntary and community sector, in relation to adult safeguarding.

We are looking for candidates who…

  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively and project manage multiple workstreams.
  • Are excellent written and verbal communicators with ability to prepare evidence-based reports and present with impact.
  • Can prepare evidence-based reports.
  • Have good analytical skills in assimilating information and audit activity to produce performance information.
  • Understand the principles of safeguarding people who may be at risk of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
  • Have sound political and organisational awareness.
  • Are able to identify and present critical issues in relation to service deficiencies and improvements to the Safeguarding Adults Board.
  • Can evidence effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Can demonstrable ability to work constructively with internal and external colleagues.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
