Joining and managing our Adult West Mental Health and Substance Misuse team will mean that you take a role in guiding and leading in this practice. Backed by clear policies and procedures, an experienced team, and a robust support structure, you can really be effective in this key leadership role. You will take on a variety of responsibilities: making sure our services and resources are managed effectively, developing our offering, monitoring the quality of our work, and helping us meet our statutory obligations. With high demand for our services, we must be adaptable and creative, and you will lead the way.
You will also be responsible for hiring new staff and building a team that can achieve consistently high levels of service. While you are developing your team, we will help you to progress your own professional development through excellent training, mentoring and support from committed senior leaders.
You will need solid experience supervising adult social care professionals and working in a mental health setting. Along with a relevant degree or management qualification, you should have skills in leadership, budgeting, and performance management.
A good knowledge of health and social care legislation and safeguarding procedures is important. We are also looking for highly motivated candidates who can work well with individuals and families from diverse and minority ethnic, racial and religious communities. Ideally, you will be highly reflective, resilient, flexible and a great communicator.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
