Are you ready to make a real positive impact on another person’s life?

If you are, then you might be well suited to a career in Occupational Therapy.  Some experience in health and social care preferred and you must have a desire to make a difference.

As an Adult Social Care Occupational Therapist, you can make a real difference to a person’s life, visiting people in their homes, providing specialist assessment and meeting eligible needs through equipment provision and reablement.

East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is working to increase its integrated approach to the delivery of health and social care services.  ESCC Occupational Therapy Services is looking for Occupational Therapists to be part of this process.

The role will include assessing Adults in line with the Care Act. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have a pivotal role in the well-being agenda and inform the interventions needed to meet clients' and carers assessed eligible needs. You will manage and reduce risks, allowing clients to remain as safe as possible in their own homes, using a reablement approach.

The role will involve using a range of solutions to enhance independence and reduce risk - including daily living equipment, moving and handling equipment, seating, minor housing adaptations and joint working with partner agencies.

We will support you to develop the skills you’ll need to manage the challenges of this role within a learning environment, built on a culture of continual professional development.  As an Occupational Therapist, you will be required to produce annual competencies. Additionally, you will also need to produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate development of your skills and knowledge to progress though the salary scale at specific points.

If you are energetic, self-motivated, and committed to working across agencies, as well as strengthening partnerships, particularly with health, and are passionate about developing your career, then we would like to hear from you.

In return we will offer you a comprehensive induction programme, regular supervision and training and development opportunities together with
