Do you want to help shape and improve social work practice?

If you do, then we have a fantastic Senior Practitioner opportunity for you.

In East Sussex we believe that adults who draw on care and support should be able to live good ordinary lives, in the place they call home, with the people and things they love, in communities that look out for each other, doing what matters to them.

The office of the Principal Social Worker is responsible for ensuring that the highest standard of social work practice is embedded across the organisation. As a Senior Practitioner in the PSW office, your role will be to support the team with quality monitoring and assurance, thereby improving the outcomes of people who draw on care and support.

You will be working with social work teams to support the completion of case file audits to improve the quantity, consistency and quality of audits completed. You will identify themes that will support practice improvement work within the Department. The role will also involve ensuring our readiness for CQC assurance.

We are looking for a registered Social Worker who:

  • Can communicate
  • Is self-motivated
  • Is dedicated to promoting best practice
  • Is able to work with colleagues to identify strengths and areas of development
  • Has an eye for detail

This role offers a unique opportunity to support and improve practice across the social work teams.

The office base is County Hall, Lewes, however our hybrid working arrangements allow for a mix of home and office-based working.  We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.

Interviews will take place in person or via Microsoft Teams and we will contact you to arrange this.

For more details or an informal chat, please contact Helen Boyle, Practice Manager Helen.boyle@eastsussex.gov.uk or, Sharon Leaver, Principal Social Worker Sharon.leaver@eastsussex.gov.uk
