If you do, we have an exciting opportunity in the Appointee & Deputyship Team (ADT) of Adult Social Care (ASC), for a Visiting Officer (VO).

As a VO you will meet clients in-person to record their feelings, wishes, beliefs and interests and discuss these with them, their family and other professionals. You will make sure the client is involved in best interest decisions and review their needs and spending.

You will review a clients’ finances and review their budget and make applications for benefits.

All in line with the Office of the Public Guardian Standards: OPG Deputy Standards documents - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

We are looking for candidates who

  • Are able to communicate with people with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
  • Can organise their own workload and be pro-active.
  • Have a good level of numeracy.
  • Are a Team player.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
