An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Administrator with supervision responsibilities within the Lewes & North Wealden Administration Team. We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults helping us provide a better service to the people of East Sussex.

Our Senior Business Administrators play a key role in the Adult Social Care service, to support the Office Manager in supervising and smooth running of the administration team in providing a high-level administrative support to our front-line Teams of Social Workers, Resource Officers, Occupational Therapists who support vulnerable clients and their families in East Sussex. The role directly involves in Duty administration, as well as supporting in all aspects of general administration.

The work is an ever changing and sometimes pressured environment, but you will receive all the training and support you need to succeed. This 37 hour a week role comes with a hybrid working a minimum of 2 days a week Office based (County Hall, Lewes) or to meet the needs of the service.

You will need to have experience in supervising of staff, excellent communication and MS Office skills, great organisational and accurate minute taking skills, whilst having the ability to work under pressure, and to manage conflicting priorities as and when they arise.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
