Then this unique opportunity to join the nationally acclaimed East Sussex Pension Fund (the Fund) team is for you. The Fund has an exceptional ability to develop and nurture your skills and abilities and is constantly striving to improve the service to its pension members. 

This role will facilitate the ongoing monitoring and reconciliation of the Fund’s accounting function, looking after the assets of the Fund currently valued at £4.8bn. This will include ensuring all contributions due to the Fund are paid on time and correctly calculated.

The post holder will be required to work with the Councils accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure invoices are paid/received on time. 

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for finance and serving the members of the Fund and can demonstrate the following key criteria:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle and process large amounts of financial information with accuracy.
  • Ability to engage and develop professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly by telephone and email.
  • Ability to collect and interpret information and data to prepare reports.

Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams unless you request an in-person interview.

Interviews will be taking place on the week commencing 6th May. If you are unavailable on these dates let us know and we may be able to schedule an alternative date to interview you. The interviews will last 45 minutes, and during this the candidate will be asked a predetermined set of questions with the ability for the candidate to ask their own questions of the Fund.

This job gives a unique opportunity within East Sussex to work directly with senior management, Fund employers and suppliers. Your efforts will impact on the 140 employers within the Fund and its 80,000 members.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
