We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher, with the experience, leadership skills and vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be successful, happy and make their way in the world.

This is an exciting prospect for a leader who is looking for the opportunity to innovate, create and inspire learning in a SEND setting for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be both challenging and rewarding, promoting a culture where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in their own learning and development.

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, working to secure excellent school leadership and management to maximise pupil progress, wellbeing and independence in a safe and aspirational environment.

You will deliver clear, authentic leadership, establishing school aims and objectives, ensuring quality and compliance and working collaboratively with staff, parents, carers, governors and the community.

Educated to degree level or above with Qualified Teacher Status, you must be able to demonstrate strategic impact, effective working relationships and a genuine motivation to enable every pupil to reach their potential. Applications are welcomed from mainstream, special school, primary or secondary leaders with a strong track record of securing school improvement.

Grove Park is a 4-19 special school bordering East Sussex and Kent. The school operates as one organisation over three sites, with our Primary phase in Church Road, Crowborough and our KS3, and KS4 & 5 sites co-located with a mainstream academy also in Crowborough. This exciting role would require working across three sites.

The closing date for applications will be midday on the 21st of February 2024.
Interviews will be held at the school on the 26th or 27th of February and will include the opportunity to visit and tour the School.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity please contact sarahfs@grove-park.e-sussex.sch.uk or alternatively johnh@grove-park.e-sussex.sch.uk.
