Can you mastermind creative campaigns which help lift us to new heights?

If so, you could lead the way in overseeing communications and marketing projects which improve the lives of more than half a million people in East Sussex.

We’d like to find someone who’s adept at modern digital communications and marketing to lead and inspire the team working on campaigns and projects to promote the council’s services.

You might be shaping and driving campaigns to encourage use of public transport, to recruit essential staff, to help children get the most from their local library or to help people live more healthily. You’ll also play a leading role in celebrating life in England’s greatest county.

This role needs someone with in-depth knowledge of digital and offline communications, especially how to scope, create, deliver and track multi-channel campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, broadcast, print and outdoors. (It won’t faze you to hear about SEO, DSP, PPC or OOH).

You’ll lead (and hopefully inspire) a team of account managers and ensure the projects they deliver are both creative and rigorous so that sharp ideas work towards clearly-evaluated outcomes.

You’ll work with the corporate communications manager and head of communications to ensure campaigns and projects fit with the council’s objectives and are prioritised accordingly.

You’ll also have an important role in how we tell our story, keeping up a slate of ideas for engaging online content, especially on our Your East Sussex website.

The campaigns and projects manager will work closely with our specialists in design, web and media as required.

This will be a very busy job but also, we think, a very stimulating one which can drive up the quality of communications for East Sussex County Council and everyone who lives in our county.

We are accepting a CV and cover letter. Please detail how you meet the essential criteria as set out in the job description and person specification document (this is restricted to 6000 characters).

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 13 March.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity please contact  hollie.farley@eastsussex.gov.uk or warwick.smith@eastsussex.gov.uk to request a MS teams call or phone call.
