Do you want to make a difference in children's lives in a financial capacity processing invoices and raising orders working in Children's Services and join the Business Support Team. The role will join the Business Support Management Team of Locality Social Care & Family Assessment supporting social worker colleagues and managers in the protection of children and support to families in the community.

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Assistant for finance. The successful candidate must have experience in procurement (invoicing), raising purchase orders and undertaking petty cash reconciliation, hold a corporate credit card and dealing with a busy and diverse workload supporting children and families for the West of the county.  Please only apply if you have the relevant experience. Use or knowledge of SAP accounting would be beneficial, although training will be provided. We will be moving to Oracle accounting system in the near future.

Candidates should be prepared to work full time office based between County Hall, Lewes and St Mary's House, Eastbourne with travel costs being paid between the two sites. You should be organised and work in a methodical way providing financial support to our clients and staff. Have experience dealing with distressed and volatile clients via telephone within a child protection environment.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
