Have you ever thought about a career supporting adults with Learning Disabilities? Are you looking for a job helping others to achieve? Are you looking for a change?

We have an exciting opportunity within our new Supported Employment service – ‘Steps To Work’.

Our main aim is to support people with Learning Disabilities into paid employment. We offer training, information and employment guidance to our job seekers and trainees on a 1:1 and group basis. We also have internal work experience placements to support learning and development.

We are looking for outgoing, personable, and supportive Job Coaches to enable people to build the skills and confidence to enter the workforce.

We are looking for candidates who:.

  • Are good at building positive relationships with people with a diverse range of needs.
  • Can arrange their own diaries and a carry a caseload of individuals interested in gaining employment.
  • Have the ability to source opportunities within the community using various job searching tools.
  • Understand the importance of breaking down barriers for people with Learning Disabilities.
  • Are willing to support in a variety of different environments and work closely with external employers.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
