East Sussex U25's Substance Misuse Service are looking to recruit an experienced professionally qualified practitioner (relevant to Substance misuse/social care) who can demonstrate a high level of professional practice.

You will be self-motivated and passionate about working with Young People, with an understanding of the responsibilities that come with the role. You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of how staff supervision and development can contribute to successful outcomes for service users.

You will provide a case management function across the county working within a multi-disciplinary team of experienced Practitioners and Clinicians. Delivering evidenced based substance misuse interventions to a complex caseload and providing casework supervision to practitioners within the team

We will require an ability to engage with Young People, good risk analysis skills and an ability to reflect this in written assessments, treatment plans and recordings, you will deliver a broad range of trauma informed psycho-social interventions to reduce the harms caused by substance misuse.

You will play a key role in the development of the staff you supervise and contribute to the on-going service delivery across the county.

You will be joining team who share your passion and are continually developing practice.

To assist with your professional development within the team we will provide regular professional supervision and access (at job entry) to specialist training to support your practice.

Please note that registered Social Workers will be entitled to receive a market supplement for this role which was introduced in July 2021 and are subject to a 3 yearly review.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
