This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

Manor Primary School is a large, successful two form entry school in Uckfield.  We live and breathe our motto, "Everyone Matters; Everyone Helps; Everyone Succeeds".  We are an inclusive school and recognised by Ofsted to be ambitious for all our children.

We are looking for a Year 1 teacher to join us from the start of Term 5, April 2023, to  cover a period of maternity leave until 31 December 2023.

The successful candidate will share our positive, caring and inclusive ethos and be someone who really enjoys motivating children to become confident and independent learners.  You will be able to quickly form positive relationships with the children, really care about their progress and wellbeing and take pride in their achievements.

In return, you will have the exciting opportunity to join our warm, welcoming and hard working Y1 team of partner teacher, teaching assistants and INAs.  You will also be part of the wider KS1 team and supported by a caring leadership and governing body.

We welcome visits to the school prior to application.  If you would like to be part of our story at Manor, please email Ruth Western (rwestern@manor.e-sussex.sch.uk) for an application pack or to arrange a visit in the New Year.
