If you do, then you could find working as a Senior Practitioner with our Transition Service really rewarding.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner to join East Sussex County Council’s Transition Service. Our staff in this Service work with young people who have severe and enduring learning disabilities and may have physical disabilities, their families, and carers, and contribute to making a positive impact to their lives.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide advice and guidance to our staff, through daily support and regular supervision. An essential part of the role focuses on the development of our workforce, through identifying training and opportunities. You will also work closely with our health colleagues and key partner agencies and oversee enquiries relating to Safeguarding.
We are looking for candidates who:
- hold social worker qualifications
- have excellent communication skills
- are committed to training and personal development
- are able to meet the travel requirements of the post
The Transition Service supports young people aged between 16 and 25 years and experience working in children’s and adult social care teams is desirable.
Our flexible working arrangements allow for a mix of being home and office based throughout the week. We are a county wide team but based in St Mary’s House, Eastbourne . You will also need to be able to travel across the county to visit clients.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
