We are looking for an Extended Support Assistant to work in the ISEND Placement Support Service. This is a service which supports the successful placement of learners with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in their local mainstream school. We also work alongside ESBAS colleagues to support children and young people identified as having significant behavioural and/or emotional needs in order to prevent placement breakdown.

With guidance and support from an Adviser, you will work in partnership with school staff, parents, carers and other agencies to provide high quality short-term intervention and support for children and young people. You will work with children and young people on a 1:1 basis, supporting them to access their learning and be successful in their school.

If you are confident, calm, and passionate about vulnerable children and young people achieving their potential, then we would like to hear from you.

The post will be countywide with a geographical base allocated.

The post is term time only and therefore the pro-rata salary would be approx. £18,858 per annum.
