We are looking to recruit two Senior Practitioners to join East Sussex County Council’s Learning Disability Service.  Our staff in this Service work with adults with learning disabilities, their families and carers, and contribute to making a positive impact to their lives.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide advice and guidance to our staff, through daily support and regular supervision. An essential part of the role focuses on the development of our workforce, through identifying training and opportunities.  You will also work closely with our health colleagues and key partner agencies, and oversee enquiries relating to Safeguarding.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • are committed to training and personal development
  • are able to meet the travel requirements of the post
  • have, or would be willing to obtain, a Social Work qualification

Our flexible working arrangements allow for a mix of being home and office based throughout the week. We currently have vacancies based at The Bellbrook Centre in Uckfield and at Cavendish House in Hastings. You will also need to be able to travel across the county to visit clients.

East Sussex County Council is committed to providing you with the support and professional development to make the most of your skills and with the opportunity for career progression.
