We provide accommodation and support for 16+ Looked After Young People (LYP), Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). Our specialist supported accommodation services run by our spirited teams, work collaboratively to encourage young people into education, employment or voluntary work, helping them to gain life skills and empower them to live thriving lives in independent accommodation.
We are looking for a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours) Support Project Worker for our Cook Road project in Horsham to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team. You will support young people to achieve their ambitions and acquire skills they need to live independent, fulfilling lives.

You will work proactively, creatively and effectively alongside young people to identify, map and develop their assets and talents.
You will also inspire and encourage young people as they seek employment, volunteering and training opportunities. In addition, you will ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility and action in their own personal development and keep clear records of the young person’s journey in relation to their needs, risks, strengths / assets and outcomes.
You will record all incidents, accidents and safeguarding issues that require further investigation, and share appropriately e.g. with project staff, the on-call manager.
The role is placed on a rolling rota pattern, the expected working pattern will be across three days including late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You will receive extensive training prior to starting on a rota.
Please note, this role is part of our Looked After Young People projects and is not part of the Horsham Y Centre or Crawley Foyer projects.
